Big Moving Stock Indicator
The Big Moving Stock Indicator in the upper left of the website is a proprietary trend following mechanism. It is based purely on technical analysis and attempts to gauge the current overall mid term trend of the market by calculating a combination of the total number of trend following indicators triggering bullish versus the total number of trend following indicators triggering bearish for any given trading day. Based on the result of these calculations, a bullish or bearish reading will result. Being that the leading stocks are what drive the market, when this indicator is bullish, it is best to watch the biggest advancers as these are the stocks that are currently driving the market up. When the indicator is bearish, it is best to watch the biggest decliners as these are the stocks that will be driving the market down. The Big Moving Stock Indicator is updated automatically at the end of each trading day.
