(Synergetics USA) designs, manufactures and markets microsurgical instruments, medical capital equipment and other medical devices primarily for use in ophthalmic surgery and neurosurgical applications. The Company's product lines focus upon precision-engineered, microsurgical, hand-held instruments and the microscopic delivery of laser energy, ultrasound, electrosurgery, illumination and irrigation, and are often delivered in multiple combinations. On June 17, 2008, the Company announced the acquisition of the assets of Medimold, Inc., specializing in plastic injection molding.
