HDFC Bank Limited (the Bank) is an India-based banking company engaged in providing a range of banking and financial services, including commercial banking and treasury operations. The Bank has a network of 1412 branches and 3295 automated teller machines (ATMs) in 528 cities. The retail banking segment serves retail customers through a branch network and other delivery channels. The retail banking segment raises deposits from customers and makes loans and provides other services to such customers. The wholesale banking segment provides loans, non-fund facilities and transaction services to large corporate, supply chain and institutional customers. The Bank offers Indian rupee and foreign exchange derivative products to its customers, who use them to hedge their market risks. Other banking business segment includes income from para banking activities, such as credit cards, debit cards, third party product distribution and primary dealership business.
